Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon) Summit Social Walk
Join Mountain Ascents for a summer social to the highest summit in Wales Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon).
The walk is suitable for all experiences as the emphasis of this guided event is to enjoy the surroundings and to socialise. We take our time to reach the 1085m high summit which offers the chance to enjoy the wide expansive views across North Wales via the quiet but stunning South Ridge.
We take the South Ridge which in our opinion offers a more enjoyable route to the summit than the conventional walking routes of the Llanberis Path, Minors or Pig track.
IS IT FOR ME?
All experience levels are welcome though we advise that you must be hill fit to walk up hill for number of hours and be comfortable with exposure as you will be on a ridge and comfortable with scrambling type ground. The route is technically easy and is very much in the realm of the novice and new to mountain walking. The route will take about 8 hours.
