Lake District Walking Holiday
Join us on this 3 day 2 night walking holiday in the Lake District. Below is an example itinerary which will be finalise in the coming months but if you are interested please register your interest.
The tour will run on dates between 1st May – 31 August 2021
Our journey starts with a relaxed visit to the towns of Windermere and Ambleside, we’ll have breakfast together and a cruise across Windermere, England’s largest and most famous lake.
We’ll ascend Loughrigg Fell. A small and more than manageable start to our tour, it nonetheless offers stunning views of the higher Lake District Fells. As the sun sets on our first day, we’ll set up camp below the characterful Langdale Pikes, and savour the atmosphere of one of the Lake Districts most famous valleys.
(Included: Breakfast and Evening Meal, cruise ticket and Campsite fees)
We’ll begin day two at the foot of Bowfell, one of grand old Fells of the Lake District. Today we will head high towards our camp area and ascend one of the significant fells in the area. If time and fitness allow, we’ll aim to also ascend England’s Highest Mountain, Scafell Pike. Even with defined paths, it’s still a steep hike across sometimes challenging, rocky terrain, but the payoff is spectacular, and we’re not just referring to the views.
Your day’s efforts will be more than rewarded by what we consider the highlight of our tour. Unspoiled by light pollution on a moonless night, the dark skies above the Scafell Range are mesmerising so We’ll wild camp amongst the highest peaks in England.
Day Three (End of tour)
Hard work over, we’ll slowly descend and head towards Derwent Water, where we’ll take a relaxing cruise across the lake to the small market town of Keswick, where you can enjoy a well-earned break in a cosy pub.

IS IT FOR ME?
This tour covers approximately 40km of walking over 3 days so good hill fitness will be required as you will need to carry everything for the 3 days. The tour itself is generally relaxed and will also suit those wanting to undertake their first multiday walk.
Due to various tastes etc. you will be responsible for providing your own snacks/lunch for day 1, 2 and 3 and breakfast for day 3. Advice will be given once a booking is made on appropriate food types to save weight etc. We do however recommend dehydrated meals for the evening meal of day 2 from such brands as www.firepotfood.com
WHAT DO YOU NEED:
A full kit list will be provided once a booking has been made.
Lightweight tents, sleeping bags, sleeping mats, head torches , lightweight camping stoves and expedition backpack etc. can be hired from us for an additional fee.
